UK’s First Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 Hits the Road with FSEW

Euro Commercials Supports Groundbreaking Shift to Zero-Emission Long-Haul Freight

16th June 2025

Euro Commercials is proud to announce the delivery of the first UK-registered Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 to long-standing partner FSEW, marking a pivotal step toward sustainable, long-distance logistics.

As featured in our latest interview with Jeff Carne (Managing Director, Euro Commercials) and Nathan Notley (eConsultant), this milestone reflects not only our shared commitment to decarbonising road transport—but also the powerful potential of our consultative approach to electric vehicle transition.

“This is the first UK-registered eActros 600 on our roads.”
– Jeff Carne, Euro Commercials

FSEW, a leader in sustainable logistics, selected the eActros 600 following detailed analysis of operational routes, battery performance, and infrastructure planning—guided by our in-house eMobility team.

Why the eActros 600 stood out:

  • Innovative LFP battery tech offering up to 1.2 million km or 10 years of lifespan
  • Outstanding TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) even without government incentives
  • Proven performance through rigorous European road testing

The result? A fleet investment grounded in sustainability, reliability, and smart business logic.

Our role didn’t end with vehicle handover. Working side-by-side with FSEW, we:

  • Assessed long-haul viability through route mapping and real-world usage data
  • Advised on high-speed charging infrastructure at key depot locations
  • Supported driver training and BEV integration planning
  • Delivered confidence in both the vehicle and its future operational role

“This wasn’t just about selling a truck—it was about helping FSEW prove that BEV is a commercially viable, scalable solution.”
– Nathan Notley, Euro Commercials

Leading by Example: FSEW’s Commitment to Net Zero

FSEW’s broader strategy already includes five Volvo electric trucks and over 30 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. The eActros 600 brings added long-haul capabilities to their zero-emission journey.

“It’s a really, really proud moment.”
– Jeff Tomlinson, FSEW

With four more eActros 600s soon joining the fleet, the road to clean freight is accelerating quickly.

What's Next

As more eActros 600 units roll out across the UK, Euro Commercials remains committed to:

  • Supporting operators through every step of BEV integration
  • Delivering smart fleet strategies for infrastructure, cost, and uptime
  • Partnering with forward-thinking fleets like FSEW to pioneer the future of HGV transport
