When a business finds a vehicle that works as hard as it does, loyalty comes naturally. That’s exactly the case for Flocon Valves & Fittings, a leading distributor in the pipeline industry based in South Wales. After clocking over half a million miles in their 2012 Mercedes-Benz Atego, the team has once again chosen to invest in the same trusted model – this time with the updated 2025 version, supplied by Euro Commercials.

Flocon has been a staple in the pipeline supply industry for over three decades, serving a broad range of clients – from utility providers and manufacturers to hospitals and dairy farms. With such a demanding and diverse customer base, the need for dependable commercial vehicles is critical to keeping their operations moving smoothly.
“Reliable vehicles are highly important to the success of the business and our daily operations,” explains Martyn, Warehouse and Transport Manager at Flocon.
Back in 2012, Flocon acquired their first Mercedes-Benz Atego through Euro Commercials. Thirteen years later, that same truck has exceeded 500,000 miles with minimal downtime and only routine maintenance required – a testament to its durability and performance.
“It performed exceptionally well and really stood the test of time... A true workhorse,” Martyn reflects. “It offered exceptional value – very reliable with minimal downtime… and still going!”

While the original vehicle wasn’t purchased under the current leadership team, its lasting performance certainly influenced the decision to stay with the Atego.
“Cost, price, and reliability made it an easy decision,” says Martyn.
The choice to return to Euro Commercials was equally straightforward.
“We looked at other dealers, but it was simply too expensive. Euro Commercials understood our requirements, and everything went smoothly. They dealt with us consistently and promptly.”

The new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Atego will play a vital role in Flocon’s fleet, supporting longer-haul deliveries and heavier loads. With added driver comfort features – including air conditioning and a more ergonomic driving seat – it’s already a hit with the team.
“It’s a great everyday addition to the fleet,” Martyn confirms.
With their new vehicle in service and another chapter in their partnership with Euro Commercials underway, Flocon continues to value the relationship and reliability they’ve found over the years.
“It’s a great team to work with,” says Martyn.
“The Atego has proven to be reliable, cost-effective and excellent value for money.”
