RHA Launches 10th Annual Truck Week Nationwide
At long last, the RHA has officially announced the national truck week campaign for this year. This is an event which is designed solely for the purpose of celebrating the haulage sector, the work it does, and promote careers available within the industry.
Raising Awareness
The campaign this year is the 10th overall, and it is designed to make sure people understand just how important the industry is in the world around us.
Most people probably don’t appreciate just how vital trucks, drivers and the haulage industry is in general to the health and well-being of the country in every sense, from social to economic. A big part of the objective for the entire week is to try and raise awareness of this, because without this platform, it’s often difficult for the industry to get the help it needs to tackle some of the bigger issues it can face. This year, the campaign is taking place in the first week of November, between the fourth and eighth.
Going All Out Celebrating
In order to celebrate and raise awareness, the RHA will be taking its branded truck out on the road from the 21st of October right the way through to the end of the truck week in November. It will drive to different venues across the four nations and visit the sites of its members, and help to raise awareness of some of the issues that are being faced by the industry all the time.
Furthermore, the secondary objective of the campaign this year is to promote awareness of the skills and careers that are available for people who want to become truck drivers. As a result, the branded truck will also visit colleges and schools across the country, and showcase a driving simulator to help give prospective drivers a look at life behind the wheel.
