Workshop Driver
Objectives
To undertake any light and heavy commercial vehicle driving duties as required.
To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
Reporting
The Workshop Driver will report to the Workshop Controller/Service Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently carry out all driving duties for the workshop; to include pick up and delivery of customer vehicles.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of customer vehicles undertaking any vehicle cleaning duties as required.
- To support the workshop with movement of customer vehicles around the yard and present to technicians in order to minimize workshop downtime
- To maintain a high standard of presentation and levels of customer service within the department is in line with company standards
- To undertake any driving duties as requested both on and offsite ensuring that the "rules" of the road are adhered to at all times
- To ensure that all customer complaints are referred to the job holders immediate supervisor.
- To ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to
- Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy at all times
Key Performance Measures
- To efficiently and effectively carry out all driving duties as and when required by the workshop
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the workshop area and vehicles
